This is pure crap. I was the Mgr/Supt of Adv Mfg Eng for GM Powertrain Transmissions for several years. GM and most/all other companies do not value mfg engineers the as they do product engineers and we as an economy have been stripping our country of mfg capability over the past 20 years and mfg engineering along with it. Engineering is not appealing/drawing US students as it is ... and mfg and ind engineering even less so ... I guess we all just have to get by selling hamburgers to each other .. in spite of what Lee Iaccoca said that would get us. .....
