Manufacturing.Net (On Dec.15, 2009, the Obama administration released an industrial policy paper entitled “A framework for revitalizing American manufacturing.” This paper is the first written policy to address specific manufacturing problems. The administration should be commended for this effort, but to turn the paper into a true industrial policy for American manufacturing in the long term, it needs to address some very specific problems and have numerical goals.
