Department of Energy - DOE's Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) has partnered with the U.S. Council for Energy-Efficient Manufacturing to develop Superior Energy Performance, a forthcoming American National Standards Institute-accredited energy management certification program. ITP is facilitating energy management demonstrations in many states, which will test the elements of Superior Energy Performance. A qualifying requirement for plants participating in the demonstration project is that they must also sign the Save Energy Now LEADER Pledge and commit to reducing their energy intensity by 25% or more in 10 years.
ITP is collaborating with other state and regional partners to identify additional energy management demonstration industrial partners. Learn more about the energy management demonstrations project at: http://www.eere.energy.gov/industry/energymanagementdemonstrations/index.html
